GOLD CROWN
Gold crowns can be used for many types of restorations – such as crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays – and may consist of either non-precious gold (NPG) or precious gold alloys. The key attribute of a gold crown is its longevity; gold crowns can last for a very long time, because their tensile strength makes them less susceptible to fracture than ceramic/porcelain crowns. Another advantage of gold crowns is that they are very gentle to the opposing teeth (similar to natural teeth), compared with porcelain restorations.
Key Characteristics:
• Non-precious and precious gold options available
• Limited preparation required
• Suitable for posterior crowns
• CAD/CAM designed, resin printed and traditionally cast
• Long-lasting material with high tensile strength
• Suitable for anterior and posterior restorations
• Australian Made
• In-lab turnaround time: 7 days (non-precious), 10 days (precious)

TITANIUM CROWN
Titanium is great for dentists wanting to offer a truly biocompatible alternative to the more traditional gold crown. It’s ideal in areas with little interocclusal space, where something is required that can stand up to parafunctional activity and works when the cost of gold is prohibitive. Titanium is silver in colour but in terms of biocompatibility of the material and homogeneity due to its milled nature, it has a lot to offer.
Key Characteristics:
• Biocompatibility
• Limited preparation required
• Suitable for posterior crowns and bridges
• CAD/CAM designed and manufactured
• Great tissue response
• Suitable for anterior and posterior restorations
• Australian Made
• In-lab turnaround time: 8 days (also available in our 48hr Range)
PORCELAIN-FUSED-TO-METAL (PFM)
Porcelain Fused to Metal (PFM) crowns consist of a non-precious or precious alloy coping, with layered porcelain overlay, and are one of the most traditional types of crown and bridge restorations – tried and tested, in terms of strength, reliability and functionality. PFM crowns are a highly versatile option and can be used for both anterior and posterior restorations of any size or length.
All PFM crowns use dental alloys and the finest feldspathic porcelain systems to ensure aesthetically attractive, natural-looking results.
Key Characteristics:
• Non-precious PFM crowns have a colbalt chrome substructure, laminated with porcelain for aesthetics.
• Precious substructure option also available
• Versatile material
• Designed and milled using CAD/CAM, veneered with porcelain
• No limit to size and length of restoration
• Suitable for anterior and posterior restorations
• Australian Made
• In-lab turnaround time: 8 days (non-precious), 10 days (precious)
